Two cents worth, from one in the rotating device business. Unless you cannot get the
correct  replacement bearing, dont waste your time cleaning and relubing. Besides
the strong chance of brinelling (the spelling was correct) you can also distort the
races even pulling off from only the inner race. Plus, at 8000 RPM, the lube becomes
all important. Wrong lube  at high speeds with the attendant high temperatures will
lead to early failure, especially if the end play is not properly adjusted. In fact,
you might want to check the end play BEFORE you disassemble, and make sure you
return it to the same travel and preload.
