ok so rca  was the 348 designer..... we will be sure to include one with the
rca tag in the RCA  cabinet and shall put the other one with the non RCA tag
in the  wwII avionics display....

what about the tail end Charlie radar , we have one  made by RCA was this an
RCA design or?? Who did it?

Sure about that on the BC-348 ? I thought ER had an article or interview
a few years back with an RCA engineer responsible for the 348. I don't
recall Ft. Monmouth being mentioned at all. I may be mistaken. Help
me out, someone.

Technically, the BC-348 was not designed from scratch by anyone.  The first
BC-348 model was the BC-348-B, which was a follow-on from the BC-224-A and
built at the same time as the BC-224-B.  Just as with the BC-191 and
BC-375, the 12 volt model came first, but the 24 volt model is the one that
most people recognize today.  But I'm sure that Hue is correct.  Signal
Corps Radio Laboratory at Ft. Monmouth did the original BC-312/314/342/344
and RCA did the BC-224 and early BC-348.  But none of them started with a
civilian version.
