Yes-but. It did not fill the role of the BC-312 or BC-348. I don't see that it
was all that commonly found, even in U-boat or radio trucks. Perhaps it
was just too expensive to build, to be widely deployed.
That side seems to me, to have had maybe 5 times as many different
comm receiver types as the US - maybe even more. Maybe that was
the outcome of continual striving to improve equipment. However, the
introduction of new types rapidly wound down as the war progressed.
Maybe that was even a liability - with so many different types of equipment
to keep track of.
