The AN/ARR-15(A), AKA R-105(A) -- where the "A" involved minor refinements,
AKA Collins 51H-3. Read all about it on Dave Ross's web page: ("real
radios have motors")
http://www.hypertools.com/51h3.html
Even shows one in use in a P2V-7 antisubmarine patrol bomber.
The ARR-15's have 10 autotune presets with remote control. The MC and KC
controls have lockdown clutch keys, like the R-391's and some of the
autotune mechanisms look like those of the '391's, but otherwise very
different radio circuitry innards. There's an amusing warning on the front
panel about not disengaging the autotune without warning the pilot.
The R-648's are small airborne versions of the R-390/R-390A's, with fewer
controls than their 75 lb. rack mount brothers, and a "trick" MC counter
mechanism. No autotune or presets on those, but inherently a better radio.

R-648's are a bit difficult to find. Unless you must have the airborne
black wrinkle "motif", you'd be better off with an R-390 or R-390A, or even
a OD R-392. The '390(x)'s give you more flexibility in control, though
still would benefit from an outboard SSB converter.
