I have a  Coast Guard radio history which seems to indicate this
above listed radio setup  was a limited test. I think both the USN
and USCG found before much time had passed that obtaining
the BC-348 was more efficient,  better working, and less expensive.
( But not better looking, IMO :-)
Say, way back when, why did FAIR  have all those RAX's without
top covers? Was that some  birdbrained "de-mil" ?
