From a little searching and putting some pieces together, this appears
to be part of the PLRS system. This is for "Position Location Reporting
System". It appears to use antenna AS-3449/VSQ-1 which is 420 to 450
MHz. Do not know power or if freq hopping. If it is a fixed freq unit
and if it uses FM or SSB might be of some use in the UHF ham band. Looks
like it was used on Light Armored Vehicle, LAV-25.

See contracting.tacom.army.mil/majorsys/itss/folavdps.doc for the
information that I used to come to this conclusion.
