No. The TBY covers 28-80 MC AM. The TBX (and TBO) covers 2.0-5.8 MC
trasnmit and 2.0-8.0 MC receive. The TBX could have talked to an RBB or
RBC and listened to any of the HF shipboard transmitters (TBL, TCK, TZE,
TCZ, etc.), or to any of the Army low HF sets. The TBY could have talked=
to a TBS or MBF (60-80 MC AM). Or if you really want a stretch, an SCR-1=
