Dave, having not operated one, other than repairing one and listening
for a while, i am wondering what kind of things you like about the
rig.
( I found the previous owner had grounded the B- and it took out
the audio output xfmr. I used a zener diode in B- leg to allow the
B- to be grounded, but it's been so long i don't remember the
particulars. )
Someone i talked to years ago, told me they thought it was
interesting,
in that it was the only Army set using a 6V6 final.
Isn't it pretty darn hard to use on 40, considering the receiver
tuning rate
up there?
I am very much thinking of making this my next field day rig. Maybe
just
using a dynamotor would be an easy way to get the xmtr B+.
