It was designed to do a job, which it did very well at the time. I am
not aware of any industrial design contests that were being conducted
for looks in the time of need. I just sold my pristine BC-375 and
SCR-522 with all components for over 2K.
I have operated both sets and never got an ulcer worrying about what
they looked like.
There have been cases of where I would rather had them in the co-pilots
seat than the person that was there, whereas at least they were functional.
Lot of things do not look good but they do the job they were designed for.
This could go on forever as you will get at least a million different
views on the looks.
WHO CARES lot of bandwirth for water under the bridge and too late to
close the gate as the cows are already out.
