Well, I have tried the companies that took over Sprague and Mallory and Radio
Shack as well as some of the Radio parts suppliers and have struck out on the
Internet and the phone. Several individuals have told me in the past the
larger value capacitors can be used for the smaller units, so I'm learning
something that they must be the values called for.
I was able to get a 1956 version of the CQ Mobile Radio Handbook so I will
study it.
All of these capacitors are for the 6v primary electrical system. What can I
use as a substitute that would be available? These units look like the
condenser in a point type distributor so is there anyway to tell what the MFD
valve of an automobile condenser is?
I thank the board for its time.
