[Milsurplus] AN/PRC-6 question

Hello to all,
 I finished making the battery for the PRC-6 and it
powered up fine.  I have it crystaled for the six
meter ham band and was able to hear a local ham buddy
about 5 miles away on it.  I haven't tried
transmitting because I don't know if it needs to be
calibrated yet.  I turned all the orange box things in
the inside to the numbers indicated on the cover of
the radio.  Is there anything else that I sould be
doing?
