Interesting.  The earliest SCR-506 manual that I have heard of but never
found (which is an un-numbered preliminary) is dated February 1943.  And =

have here somewhere a copy of an article (may have the actual magazine) i=

QST in I think 1946 on the development of the SCR-506.  It has been sever=
al
years since I read it but my recollection is that the article either
implied or stated that the SCR-506 was still in development in '44.  Mayb=
e
I misread it.
