[Milsurplus] Need Help With Vibrator Power Supply PP-68/U

I have an WWII Korean War Vibrator Power Supply PP-68/U.  Date of
manufacture May 1945. 6 or 12 volt input, selectable 15 or 50 W 110V 60
cycle output.  I want to get it working before hurricane season.

It is missing the 6 pin vibrator.  Does anyone know the specs or a source
for this vibrator?

Has anyone had success substituting a switching transistor circuit for a
vibrator?
