[Milsurplus] Repaneled Receivers

Speaking of receivers re-paneled for rack mounting. I've had / have a
couple of interesting ones.

Couple of years back I had a pair of RBM's (MF and HF receivers) that had
been re-paneled by the Navy for rack mounting. They had replaced the name
tag onto the new panel, but left off the little logging roll. These had
definitely been done by the Navy as they came off the base as surplus this
way.

The other one I currently have, either a RBB or RBC that has had the front
panel replaced for rack mounting. Note, this is not the typical rack mount
arrangement for the RBB/C wherein the cabinet has rack mount "ears" on it,
the entire front panel has been done, again by the Navy as it came off the
base like this.

I suspect these were efforts to gain a few more years of useful life out of
these old workhorses when equipment routinely moved to rack mounting.
Anyone else seen rigs like this?
