Frankly, I am skeptical about the RBD reassignment. RBD would have been
model-numbered very shortly after RAV, as the late 1930s saw an avalanche of
new type and model numbers.
Do you have a reference for RBD? The only thing I have ever seen about
this is from the old G E White columns.

I can see there being GTs out there. Presumably GT was model-numbered
right after GS, and GSs were mated to RAYs (don't get too excited, they
are just early drone control radios), and RAY is awfully close to RAV...
Anyway, I could be wrong, and pop up with a non-GE RBD tomorrow. I
suppose at one time I doubted the existance of AMA, ASA, ZBX, and non-GE
BC-375s..
