H.O.,
From "Transmitting Tubes for Linear Amplifier Service", a paper presented
at the the 1956 National Convention of Institute of Radio Engineers:
zero-supressor-voltage type beam pentode
PL-177 Fil. [email protected] 75W Max. Plate Class AB1 Output 96W at1KV,
140(ICS)@1.5KV, 200(ICS)@2.0KV.
If Collins designed the transmitter for low duty cycle that could explain
running 1500 volts on the plate!
Sorry I don't have a full data sheet from Penta.
Sibley says PL-177 is 4-125 format but all glass,
alternate to Westinghouse 6549
