2238z 15 Jan 25

11175.0 was active at 1853z, 1901z, and 1927z with OVERTONE (strongs
levels on Ohio Valley SDR) calling YALE MAN with no known response.

11175.0 (and other HFGCS freqs) was active at 1948z with YALE MAN with
a communications test count and gone. It's mostly heard just after the
start of UTC new day at 0000z+. The USSTRATCOM CP call word of the day.

Since maybe October of last year if not earlier the E6Bs on HF
occasionally call the STRATCOM callword with possible response logged once.
It's similar to the bombers and their calls to RED RIVER. The E6s appear to
have the expectation that they will get a response on HF (unless they are
simulcasting on 311.0?).

And as noted last October the callword has been logged with an echo
broadcast of an EAM string broadcast by the HFGCS NCS. See:

This particular station gives the appearance of becoming an active
participant on the HF net. True?
