[MilCom] ADS-B Military Aircraft Monitoring Advice?

Very recently set up a very modest ADS-B receiver (Noo Electric NESDR 
Mini SUB RTL-SDR ADS-B/with supplied small antenna) coupled to plane 
plotter software.

How do most of you using this for monitoring military aircraft set up 
the software?

Do you use some sort of macro to only report military aircraft based 
upon first two position of ICAO hex decimal identifier or do you dump 
everything heard into the text log and than manipulate it later?
