Hi Larry,

Myself and others have always thought the FMS in GOTO FMS was Fleet
Maintenance Symposium.

However here is an interesting quote I found while searching GOTO FMS:

*When Boeing equipped the E-6's from the 737 flight avionics, they
installed the new Mode-S transponders, and one of the pilots asked: "Where
does the data in this window go?" and the Boeing technician said "It goes
to the FMS (Flight Management System) and is stored in a register." Since
that time, the Navy pilots are scared to change the reading, just in case
it doesn't go to the FMS anymore...OK, more coffee! Here's a bunch of them
doing crash and dashes at Tinker:I believe they use ADS-B as part of the
Salt Treaty, as they are part of the Nuclear Forces, and have the
capability to launch nuclear weapons from both submarines (trailing wire
antenna) and from silos. An increase in DEFCON would strangle the ADS-B
and GOTO FMS might read GOTO HELL...*
