WHIDBEY  ISLAND, Wash. (NNS) -- A Navy E/A-6B that took off from Naval Air 
Station  Whidbey Island, Wash. went down March 11 in the eastern part of the 
state  according to a Navy report.

The report was received by officials at NAS  Whidbey Island at about 8:45 
a.m. (PST) on Monday.

The status of the  aircrew is unknown at this time. The Navy is 
investigating the report and will  provide more information as it becomes available.
