Thank you Roger; I am grateful that you appreciate my  loggings.
   AFA9PF is one of the busiest MARS Operators on the  Phonepatch Net. I 
post loggings of his patches to my Yahoogroups Groups just  about every day.  
Today AFA5QW (Ed Greenwood IN) and AFA5RS (Ray in  Shelbyville IN).  At the 
moment Ed is working "King 22"  flight.
   Aircraft from all the agencies use the MARS  freq for both Morale & 
Welfare patches and official patches. At least on the  MARS freqs they know they 
will not be interrupted by EAMs.   :-D

I've got PINON 71 up on 285.45 "heading East" right now. I live  in
Sonoma County and hear the PINON flights from Beale frequently  using
mostly 296.7

Thanks for the post, Al. I did not know the U2's  operated phone
patches in that frequency range.
