For the season opening game for the CFL Saskatchewan Roughriders, held at Mosaic Stadium, Regina, VIKING Flight, 4 x CT-156 Harvard II trainers from 15 Wing, Moose Jaw, did a flyby of the stadium. Prior to the flyby, the four plane formation was orbiting northwest of the stadium, and I got a nice view of them as they flew over the house a couple of times.

VIKING Flight was talking to Regina Tower ATC on 118.6. VIKING Air to Air was on 275.8, which should be preset channel 1 on the Harvard radios. 275.8 is used for ATC Ground Control at 15 Wing. VIKING Lead was talking to someone on a portable radio at the stadium on 275.8, coordinating the timing of the flyby with the end of the national anthem.

VIKING Flight staged out of the Regina Airport. Didn't catch the take-off, but I did see them parked on the ramp prior to the flyby. After the flyby, VIKING Flight recovered to the Regina Airport. 15 Wing is closed for the holiday.

Regards,
