Thank you Chris, Alan, and Larry for the BRD info, much appreciated.  Subscribers to this fine group can always count on somebody to provide a accurate answer when needed.

Larry, thanks for the heads-up on your newly revamped MT website mentioned below, I'll be sure to check it out.  Sounds pretty neat!

  It is the Booster Recovery Director (works with the Freedom and Liberty Star shuttle booster recovery vessels). Your answer can be find that answer and many more calls at the end of my Monitoring NASA and Space Communications Guide, available for free at our newly revamped MT website at http://www.monitoringtimes.com. I have quite a few of their callsigns translated into English for the rest of us. ;-)))
