The blog on that website does not say that the E-2C was  heard on the freq; 
it says he was called on that freq.
139.875 is a McGuire AFB freq known to them as "Comm-1;"  it is often used 
by their Hoist KC-10s.
Hoist 98 is a participant in this  exercise.
