[MilCom] New Radio and Antenna

  I need some suggestions for a new additional radio both Vhf/Uhf that can Change modes in Vhf Hi,also some ideas on a new antenna since i will have to go indoor only,but it will be right between the window and outside door in living room.I will have at least 1800 dollars,but dont want to spend it all,probably half on radio equipment.Thanks for any suggestions or tips.
