[MilCom] New Guy question

(Guess I should ask this question to the whole list)......... Thanks to the guys who've responded with tips / tricks / recommendations.

I'm using an old 2045 coupled with ReCall-Pro to record comms during the day......... but would like to upgrade to a better radio with computer control so I can match-up times and frequencies.  What's my most economical option ?
