Hello Jack & the group:
I still think one will see aerial refueling routes in every area of the
country. Basically the ANG & AF Reserves, typical flight training drills
are typically about 2 to 3 hours (which includes flight preparation), so
they will have to keep a/r routes fairly close to bases, since it's doubtful
they want aircraft flying 1 way for more than 1 hour for training and than
flying back. They prefer the training to be closer e.g. 45 minutes to and
back so that they can get the necessary training. Of course there's always
the possibility of random type a/r's, that the McGuire Kc10's do quite a bit
of.....
