The above has just  (1215Z) scrambled from RAF Waddington (EGXW) and is heading for the North Sea.  His briefing gave lots  of contacts and it would appear the there is an oil rig on fire somewhere in the North Sea.  There may well be lots of activity on HF.  Waddington Ops. obviously expect him to be airbortne for a long time as they are asking if he is drogue and boom qualified (He is not.)  Blue 28 is on another freq. dragging a couple of RETROs so he may have been the asset they hoped to use.
