[MilCom] Question / KFSM: 16 August 2008

Last weekend I moved into another residence which is higher elevation and
closer to the airport.  I am now picking up 2-way tower communications and
it is much too busy and is drowning my other frequencies.  Today I'm
locking-out VHF tower to see if that helps.  Does tower "simulcast" on VHF &
UHF ?  I wish there was some way I could only hear the aircraft side of
communications, but that's impossible I guess.

several touch & goes, then onto Shreveport

21:15z  TALON or TONTO 24 (T-45, Meridian or T-1, Randolph) Fort Smith Tower

22:05z  VICTORY 71 (F-18, Oceana NAS) Fort Smith Departure (343.7500)
takeoff (heard while jogging near airport)
