Tremendous point, Ken.

This is not about logic, it's about conditioning.  If they say `Homeland
Security' enough, the citizenry will roll over for anything.

I'm with you.

If one gets an amateur radio license, one's name and address goes into
the public database.  I find that bothersome too..
