Lost pilot low of fuel, calls ATC and they give him a specific squawk code, 
than he crashes. Once he crashes (see the picture in the article) the guy 
has a satellite phone & calls his wife & also for help to federal 
authorities BUT had no idea where he actually crashed.   Civil Air Patrol 
found him.
ARNG 1042nd Air Ambulance Company (Salem OR) flew a helo in to pick him up.

Great work Civil Air Patrol, especially for volunteering to fly at 0200 hrs 
in the morning!!!
