Hello all,

The dates have been formally announced in the Davis-Monthan AFB newspaper,
Desert Airman, that the Annual Air Combat Command Heritage Conference will
be held from 1 - 4 March.

This is a very cool event and is the training background needed before
these pilots flying in the Heritage Aircraft Formations must qualify in,
here at DMAFB. These pilots fly to the various airshows around the USA and
Canada and normally perform in a 3 or 4 ship formation for you.

There are 8 demonstration teams and they'll be flying the following
aircraft during the conference:

  Modern Fighters: A-10, F-4, F-15, F-15E, F-16, and F-22
  Vintage Fighters: F-86/Sabre, P-38/Lightning, P-47/Thunderbolt,
P-51/Mustang

Look to the skies around DMAFB if you are in Tucson on these dates and
don't be surprised to hear the sweet sounds of 3 Mustangs in formation
buzzing overhead. Don't forget to have your camera with you, wherever you
go. They do not just fly around the base. They'll fly up near the Catalina
Mountains, providing an awesome backdrop, if you're lucky enough to catch it
:)

In the past, they've used the following frequencies at airshows and around
DMAFB:

  118.50000 - DMAFB Tower
  127.15000
  136.57500
  136.67500
  253.50000 - DMAFB Tower
  283.70000
  305.40000 - A-10 (Discrete)
  376.02500 - F-15 (Discrete)
  384.55000 - F-15/F-16 (Discrete)

If you aren't able to catch 'em here, they'll be heading your way in a
future airshow near you.
