ALSO, a review of www.flightaware.com today reveals that two Kalitta
Charter FA20's carrying two war related deceased "heroes" remains to
awaiting grieving loved ones departed KDOV today. These were non descript,
typical Kalitta callsigns with no special fanfare or departure crowds
operating on typical VHF Air Traffic Control frequencies.

My condolences go out ALSO to THOSE FAMILIES!!! (All 3323 and counting) &
24314 wounded "heros" (If I remember correctly around 18000 were considered
to be seriously wounded, including traumatic amputations & brain injuries)
A very good link for getting the count & names of the deceased & wounded
statistics is at: http://www.icasualties.org/oif/BY_DOD.aspx

Interestingly NO one seems to have an audio tape or reported monitoring the
Blue Angels air/air comms at this point. I guess NO hobbyists from this
GREAT list attended that airshow. Generally at airshows there's a fair
amount of the "uninformed" & totally confused general scannerland people
present, holding their scanners & trying to determine what the frequencies
are!!! Of course in most cases they don't have the scanners that are
technically capable of monitoring most military aero teams frequencies.
Seems to me the "wagon guys" need to part of the action at all of these
shows --- NOW if Uniden or Radio Shack were smart they would sponsor these
guys or someone else to be at these shows in a booth right on the flight
line with speakers blaring!!!

NBC News reports on the Blue's non combat related crash & death of the
pilot, indicates that it will be at least 3 weeks before the USN will be
able to determine what caused the crash of the aircraft. Of course the
question remains, when will the team actually be back on the show circuit,
and of course this will have a serious impact on those upcoming airshows
they were scheduled to perform at.

Oh yea, the LtCmdr is originally from Pittsfield MA, so there may be some
local angle video at the the NBC affiliate TV 22 WWLP (www.wwlp.com)
