Thanks for the reply Mac. I thought you might have been at
the air show, since your posts are always so good from
that area. I realize most of the crash comms were on the
public safety frequencies, however, I was just wondering if
there were any indications of trouble on their show/air to air
frequencies before he went down. I know I always try to audio
record their show when they are here in Texas at either Alliance or
Ft Worth NAS, and I thought someone might have had a video
and/or audio recording.

Believe me, I hear you. I will refrain myself from a political tirade
on this issue, but suffice to say, I'm chomping at the bit.

These days, I rarely go to air shows as well (even though the
Alliance one is only ten minutes from my house). The long lines,
parking, not being able to climb up and look in the cockpits,
getting strange looks 'cause I have a scanner, and feeling weird
about copying down preset frequencies when a pilot is shadowing
you sort of did me in. I got real tired of it. Today, more often than not,
I just sit at home and listen to the action. That way, I can grab the
frequencies without having to deal with the ridiculous paranoia BS.
