They had to cut back on the overall av gas bill for that mission!!!! Since
he decided to take that gas guzzling 747 rather than one of the smaller more
fuel efficient planes in the support fleet :) ;) ....
It interesting that AF 1 seems to ALWAYS use VHF aero rather than UHF aero,
so that everyone can hear them getting ready to land, landing, & taxiing...
One would think that security wise they would use UHF military aero, and
would ask that ATC turn off the simucast of both VHF/UHF transmitter and
just use UHF. That would add some stealth to the arrival.
If you were monitoring any of the SS freqs, perhaps you could post them to
fedcom.
