When discussing email at work, I used to tell people to never write
anything they wouldn't want published in a newspaper.  It is NOT
private.  At very least, your employer owns the email.

Apparently an update to this philosophy is required.

When emailing, writing, phoning, surfing, hobby monitoring, radio
amateuring, or walking outside, just assume you're being watched or
listened to.


Remember the Taos Hum? 
It's our forefathers and George Orwell, rapidly rotating in their
graves.




Perspective is a funny thing.
Five or ten years ago, when anybody said anything like this, they were
`paranoid conspiracy nutcases.'
