Fascinating stuff!  The reason Scramble's dates are so out of date is that like me (I maintain a similar data-base for a UK magazine) they haven't had sight of a copy of the US Army Goldbook since April 2001!  Many people have wasted a lot of paper and pixels trying to cajole a copy, even a year or so old one out of the DoD to no avail.  That's why reports like this are so important to us tail-spotters, so little information is out there.  Visits to Army facilities are not always the answer either, braille is the only way to read the tail-numbers sometimes!  If any one has a copy of the Goldbook more recent than 2001 of course I'd love to have sight of it!
