I heard them when I lived in Tampa near Macdill AFB in
the late 80's, early 90's. I I remember correctly they used
138.075 both in repeat and simplex. They had encryption
too. Basically they roamed the base and off base housing
with surveillance and looking for druggies that were in the
service. Occasionally it was fun listening, but really not much
different than listening to the local DEA or Customs office.

They were also active while I lived in St Louis on 138.075
and 138.175. This was mid 90's. Since moving to Texas
in the late 90's, I still have AFOSI and NIS frequencies in
my scanner, but have not heard a peep. Whether or not
they'll show up on their new rebanding frequencies for
CID/OSI/NIS is anybody's guess.
