I've noticed a great deal of activity in R-3803A over the last few evenings.
I thought that it was artillery but I think it's been an AC-130 orbiting in
the area.

Everything started at sundown this evening. Freq's active include 259.15
(259.150 POE REDLEG IMPACT AREA), 367.6 (GERONIMO GCAS (S) BLUE STRIKE (P)).
Aircraft arriving from all directions on Polk APP 132.05 and 261.3.

Players have been:

MASH 62 - KC-135R, also heard MASH 61 being talked about but not heard him
yet. Doing MARSA with F-15, both visually sighted over the top. MASH has been
orbiting over the Alexandria VOR to the active range at 8k. (Why can't they
do this in daylight.)
EAGER or EAGLE, possibly the F-15E I saw descending into the ranges at
sundown.
ARROW or AERO 64
DUBLIN 91 was just on 132.05 descending from 16k to 9k to the Geronimo LZ
about 3 minutes behind him was BUSTER 20 going from 16.2k to 2k. one of
these is the AC-130, it just flew over the house at about 2k, must be BUSTER.

BTW, R-3808A is between Leesville, La. and Natchitoches (bless you) and
about 40-50 miles to my west. I can hear the AC-130 from here as it's a very
still night.

Have not heard any AWACS or JSTARS activity. I know that UAV's are flying
out of Self airfield at North Fort Polk.

Other activity earlier i the day was:

SWINE 1-4 on 298.6, Clariborne Range R-3801. Barksdale A-10's practicing for
HAWGSMOKE. A/A was 139.8. Lead was referred to as "Boss Hog."

In and out of Alexandria on 137.35

Navy 1E661 and 1E067. Helos?
Guard 275, a UH-1V

Also, Army 20685 was in the area on 122.8
