It's not just the depot maintenance crews that slip up, even aircraft right
off the production line can have problems. I've heard my share of C-17's
inbound to Charleston AFB from the plant in Long Beach with write-ups,
some even to the point of making the aircraft a code 3. The same goes for
the F-22 when it was being delivered to the 43rd FS at Tyndall AFB. There's
also the occasional IFE with the F-22 when it is flown for the first couple
of times by the Lockheed test pilots at Dobbins ARB.

As for the Warner Robins Depot facility, the 339th Flight Test Squadron
at Robins AFB does check flight each aircraft before it is returned to
active duty. Unfortunately it looks like they may have let a dragon slip
through this time (see link below). I've heard a few of their test pilots
earn their pay with some "high pucker factor" IFE calls to Atlanta Center
and Eagle/Rogue Control (225.925) during the check flights.
