Makes the point. Hobbyists trump Perimeter Prefects. Opa Locka Field, NW of
Miami is hot w/CG & Customs activity. Great plane spotting & radio listening,
particularly as voicecalls change w/freqs.

Easy to park amongst many civilian activities. Several vantage points
surround the field. Enjoyed many a perimeter picnic filling senses & notebooks.
Occasional passing cars were those of local gang members whose approach was
announced by Low-E bass slamming pavement. All fine. Perhaps antennas sprouting like
sea urchin spines from bulbous red caddy made an impression. Probably just
figured anybody hanging around Opa Locka post-sunset was too nuts to bother with.
Too bad, would've enjoyed dicussing Dr. Dre's "East Coast Killas" magnum opus.

Down the pike at Homestead, security stringent. Still, plenty places where
one can plop one's carcass down amongst tall grass and observe pilots lighting
the wicks all day long.

Forget fear. All are guilty. All will be called to account. Meantime, might
as well have fun.
