[MilCom] Private Security Forces Guarding Military Bases -- Radio

Interestingly more military bases appear to be contracting out for certain
security/guard services (e.g. base entry control, perimeter security, etc.).
Generally the military provides the contractor with the radio communications
equipment necessary, so there most likely isn't any civilian type
frequencies being used. Frequency directories such as Grove's "Military
Frequency Directory" 2nd edition (now bundled as "Grove's 'Frequency Master
File'", provide information on base support radio nets, including security.
It would be interesting if hobbyists, in areas of the contracting out (see
partial list below) would try monitoring the radio comms to basically try to
determine if there really is any difference in comms than when the military
was providing this security in house. This "contracting out" appears to be
a controversial subject with some (just do a google search for examples)
people believing that the contractors are not doing the job properly..
Anyways should be an interesting monitoring exercise for those of you next
to any of these (or perhaps additional) military bases.
