[MilCom] This is not a good indicator

T'was the night before Christmas
 And all through the list
 no off topic posts
 so no one was pissed.

 All the antennae were mounted
on the roof top with care
with the hope a new scanner
 would soon appear there.....

And then from the roof top
 arose such a clatter
I sprang from my monitoring post
to see what was the matter.

Seems some dude and a sleigh
 pulled by some mangy reindeer
tried to land on my antenna field
and on the Scantenna, was speared!

 I called 911
 and reported the perp
 and sat back to listen
 as the scanners went chirp.

 "310 to car 12,
Larry check out a report of a prowler,
 there now, on the roof
206 Madison, Chucky, can you back Larry up?"

 Soon off in the distance
 a siren I hear.
From up on the roof top
 comes cursing and thrashing,
 shouted invectives to the reindeer
to get out of the masting.

The guy wires and 9913 running down
 from the roof are whipping,
And from up on the roof,
 I hear " Snip,Snip,Snip,Snipping"

 The cables fall down
to the ground from the farm,
and the Dude on the roof yells
"Time to get out of town!"
 So trailing guys and Beldin,
 and some LMR too,
 off launches the Dude
 and his traveling zoo!

 My scanners fall silent,
 no transmissions here.
 But the lights getting brighter,
 indicate Larry is near.

I step out of the house
and stare up at the carnage.
 "Bah! Humbug!" I scream.
At least 3 days to repair all
 the damage!

And from off in the distance,
from what sounds like the Dude.
I hear "With a reception like that,
 NO NEW SCANNER FOR YOU!!!"

A Merry Christmas to all on the MILCOM list.
Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions and your great posts for
us over the past year.

 Regards.

PS BTW I bought myself (self empowered Santa mode) another PRO97 last night
(Triple Trunking silk screening) to devote strictly to mil air monitoring!
Better deal than another used PRO43 from eBay! PRO97 sale ends Christmas
Eve.
