hi guys
a question that some of you guys maybe thinking is off topic
under the most extreme lift conditions has anybody ever heard Mil Air accross the pond here?
perhaps you think a crazy question but 2-3 years back i was in contact with a guy in the USA that thought he had.
now i dont disbeleive this guy as 3 years ago, under the most extreme of conditions i was receiving Police,
Medic/Fire Dept comms in the USA from England which was down in the low band.
the best one of the lot was on 33.700 MHZ NFM. and lots of other things too upto around the 43 MHZ range
such as Couriers, and what i beleive were yellow school buses etc.
if my memory serves me correct i was hearing PA, and Missouri Comms and surrounding areas.
when these conditions arose, the lift stretched from Russia and then right the other way accross to the USA.
to prove i was hearing this i joint a couple of scanner groups in the PA area and these guys were confirming
what i was hearing...
perhaps one day conditions will be good enough to hear something mil air, i was always told if you dont try
you dont get so im just living in hope that one day it may happen.
to me radio is just as much fun as what you are receiving and always a big challenge for me.
A Very Merry Christmas to all
Cliff
