It's unfortunate that I didn't know you had made such an offer, because I have 
definitely heard one of the above, and I had it recorded.  Unfortunately, I'm 
pretty sure that I deleted the recording, although I will check back through 
my old hard disks.  However I did post a message on another group that you are 
on, asking what the term meant.
   What I heard, on 3/2/04, was TIGER-22, a Brunswick NAS P3 calling TIGER-21, 
another P3 telling him to "switch to Winchester",  then Tiger-22 came up on 
303.0  talking to Tiger-21.   At the time, I had no idea what the terminology 
referred to, but was told by other list members that it referred to the rifle 
caliber, which made sense.  If you had responded at the time, I could have 
provided a recording.  :-) 
     So, while this may not be an officially sanctioned terminology, I can 
guarantee that the terminology IS used by military pilots.
