[MilCom] TEAL 51

At 1345Z, TEAL 51 (WC-130J Hurricane Hunter a/c) calling Sheppard Metro
(344.6) and Base Ops (372.2) reporting they are inbound and 24 minutes out.
Aircraft told airfield does not open for another 15 minutes.  That hardly
seems worth mentioning .

 

I'm a little curious as to why they'd be landing at Sheppard AFB in Wichita
Falls, TX?  Well, maybe this question is being answered.  They dropped off a
military medical team last Saturday and they are picking them up (20 to 30
people) today.  

 

This is nothing new, but there seems to be a lack of communication on this
pickup and Sheppard doesn't seem to be aware of the scheduled pickup (or
maybe even TEAL 51's PPR #).  TEAL 51 will remain on 372.2 (and I bet 13927
HF) until they can get more information.
