[MilCom] Army NG Low Band FM Usage

I've noted the posts about limitations on low band FM, but here the CT Army 
Aviation Support Activity @KBDL only has a low band antenna mounted on the 
hangar, nothing special.  When the CH47 & UH60's are at KCEF flying perhaps 
at 1K, they have absolutely no problem contacting "OPS"...  Also what's 
interesting is that the new VHF High Band & UHF Aero freqs don't appear to 
be utilized...

However, for the most part the MA ARNG @KBAF (moved from KCEF to a new 
facility) primarily uses UHF Aero but on occassion uses both low band VHF FM 
& aero VHF for comms.....

So I wouldn't necessary give up on monitoring low band VHF-FM... If the 
helos are flying in your area, at least put the freqs in and try monitoring.
