[MilCom] Military Investigative Services Radio Systems Utilization?

Was wondering if anyone has ever heard any activity on any of the military
investigative frequencies? Grove's "Military Frequency Directory" 2nd
edition seems to indicate that Army CID would be using UHF(with some bases
possibly using high band-VHF), Air Force OSI--high band VHF, & Navy
NCIS--mixed high band VHF/UHF. It's also possible where very military
trunking systems have been installed that a separate talkgroup is available.
Generally my assumption is that most of the activity is via digital
cellphones and/or direct connect NEXTEL's with very sporadic use of radio
systems.

To get an idea as to the agencies and potential locations of offices check
out the following websites:

US Air Force Office of Special Investigation (AFOSI)
http://public.afosi.amc.af.mil/

US Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS)
http://www.ncis.navy.mil/

US Army Criminal Investigative Command (CID)
http://www.cid.army.mil/

US Coast Guard
(couldn't find but there's is a separate office).

Could prove to be an interesting reseach/monitoring project for inquisitive
hobbyists!

K
