Duane & the group:

MILCOM is a public list that can be accessed by anyone who just goes to the
www.qth website and goes to the milcom archieve. The monthly postings can
be downloaded or can be sorted by subject and/or by poster's name.

It's been the policy of qth net since milcom was transferred to this this
server from grove.net to allow public access to the server without
restriction.

As far as firewall attacks, surely those folks on DSL or cable always find
themselves under attack, whether they are a milcom subscriber or not so
that's the reason for installing firewalls and appropriate security
software.

MILCOM posting participation IMHO doesn't single you out for attacks or for
that matter some special investigation from one of those three letter
federal agencies. With the exception of one individual who was contacted by
the Air Force Office of Special Investigation regarding his website (not as
an enforcement effort to take it down but more as a general information
hello), no one else (to my knowledge) has had any contact because of the
list.

HOWEVER, so folks have had contact with law enforcement because of their 'on
scene' activities observation/monitoring activities, but this varies greatly
throughout the US based upon local and security condition status.

Just relax and enjoy the hobby!!!!! :)

Ken
