Hello Rich:
Thanks for posting your encounter with law enforcement while "on scene"...
I really got a laugh out of your car being turned in as being suspicious
because of the number of antennas you had on it.. Too bad you couldn't have
gotten a picture of your vehicle while on scene!!!
One really has to wonder what criteria is being applied to becoming a
suspicious vehicle. You didn't mention if there were any other vehicles
parked near you and whether they were also checked out; BUT it would seem
to me that a vehicle looking like a porcupine with all those antennas would
definitely not meet the criteria of a low profile terrorist vehicle (which
would blend in with most other vehicles).
I think that the officer stopped his inspection/search protocol when he came
to the conclusion that you definitely were not a terrorist but someone from
scannerland just enjoy his day watching & listening. My guess is one of
those helos probably called you in during the perimeter sweep.
Again thanks for the humor (I'm sure it wasn't too humorous for you when it
was happening!!!).
